Article X. Procedures in Online Canvassing of Votes
Establishes procedures and safeguards for online canvassing, tabulation, and verification of electronic votes.
At the end of the last day of election, the Chairperson of the Student Government Commission on Election will officially close the election as scheduled.
Section 2.The total number of votes per position is automatically counted by the Online Election System which is managed by the NEUST Management Information System (MIS) and the Chairperson of the Student Government Commission on Election.
Section 3.The final result of the election must be counterchecked by the USG Board of Adviser as trustees to validate the result.
Section 4.The Student Government Commission on Election accomplishes in three (3) copies the statement of results, endorsed by the USG Board of Adviser, and forwards the same immediately to the Student Government Commission on Election, which will immediately canvass all votes cast in the NEUST Online Election System and proclaim the winning candidates.
Section 5.The Student Government Commission on Election, from time to time as the need arises, may promulgate additional rules which it deems necessary for an honest and credible student electoral exercise.
